No one ever expected life to make such a drastic change in what seems so sudden. Our world today is in such a questionable position with no reason, no time line and no answers. This attack on humanity is without prejudice, without mercy, no discrimination on race, age or sexuality. It cares not of your opinion or behaviour. It has no emotion or heart beat and really no respect of rules or regulation. It only wants to steal life and judging by the standards that we must live with at this moment, Covid-19 wants to change everything we have been accustomed to and turn it upside down. This is our enemy, It is dangerous and strong. It is our invisible foe. How do we handle this battle? Not with fear, not with tears, not with anxiety and DEFINETLY, not with denial. One must be truly pure with their judgement of how the world has existed on its lack of honesty and to view clearly towards human behaviour. Only once we have done so, then, only then we can recognise the reasons why we must go through this and then we can we can begin the process healing the world. I am not preaching nor do I have answers, I am only an artist and all my work reflects from my view and senses of the world around me. My only suggestion is to view life and the world around us, like a painting. What would you change? Appreciate it's beauty and take this time we have in confinement to love our loved ones deeper, love humanity and most importantly love yourself . REMEMBER every dark cloud has a silver lining. When you dress for the day, automatically you make a choice. Weather you just picked up something to go to gym in or go to work in, it is still a choice. Many people like to believe that they don't care for style or trends. However, every day we still make a decision on what to wear and how. IT IS A CHOICE.... Let's explore this further. For Example; Mary gets up early in the morning for a school run and then to go to the gym. She mumbles“let me just quickly throw on this old grey t-shirt, no one will notice, besides it's comfortable.” Mary made a choice. She made the decision to wear the old grey t-shirt. STYLE Ok, here it is. Mary is obviously not trying to be stylish at that moment. However, take a look at the word old. This means the grey t-shirt was once new and she purchased it. Am I right? So when you purchase an item of clothing or accessory, you do so because it appealed to you. Now look at the word comfortable. Weather it is colour, shape or design, it was a desire to have in order to satisfy a want and a reason. And style is born. MYSELF I never believed in following fashion trends as a means to define me as stylish. I believed it was the choices I made from what I liked, that created a stylish look for me. The same rule would apply to most. ZSASTYLE Designing original pieces came from what I see as beautiful, fun, and exciting not another boring trend. Imagine if we all choose to wear the same items, how boring the world would be. When you choose something you have a taste for, you are being true to yourself. You are creating your own beautiful style. This is the ethos of ZSASTYLE.
